Let yourself be guided inside one of Verona’s most iconic places, where history intertwines with legend and love becomes myth.
The story of Romeo and Juliet has its roots in the sixteenth century, in the novella by Luigi da Porto, inspired by the ancient rivalries between Veronese families and by an imagery already evoked by Dante in the Divine Comedy. It was Shakespeare, however, who transformed this story into a universal symbol of tragic love, capable of crossing the centuries and still speaking to the hearts of millions of people.
The tour will lead us to discover Juliet’s House, a place suspended between reality and invention, literary memory and popular fascination. As early as the eighteenth century, the tomb attributed to Juliet attracted travellers of the Grand Tour, drawn by the romantic charm of the young Veronese heroine.
